CARRIER TRANSICOLD SHOWCASES NEW VECTOR HE17 AT ROAD TRANSPORT EXPO 2024

Carrier Transicold will debut its new temperature-controlled trailer refrigeration unit, the Vector® HE 17, at Road Transport Expo 2024, marking the first time the product will be showcased in the UK. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.

Utilising cutting-edge inverter technology with Carrier Transicold’s proven all-electric E-Drive architecture, the Vector HE 17 delivers outstanding performance in its class. It offers refrigeration capacity output above 16 kW, up to 30% reduced fuel consumption, 16% increased performance in electric mode, plus a 6 dB(A) noise reduction when compared to the legacy Vector 1550, all with exceptional total cost of ownership.

The Road Transport Expo 2024 runs June 4-6 at NAEC, Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. At stand Y15a, Carrier Transicold will feature the company’s innovative Eco-Drive power module, power box and the latest additions to its Lynx Fleet digital platform. Visitors can also learn more about Carrier’s updated version of the flagship Vector® HE 19 trailer system using new low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant, designed to significantly reduce the unit’s greenhouse gas footprint. The new refrigerant can deliver an 88% CO2 savings over the standard R452A refrigerant and a 94% reduction compared to the R404A refrigerant still used in many legacy systems.

“The Road Transport Expo provides the perfect opportunity to showcase our latest technologies and innovations to advance sustainability within the cold chain,” said Scott Dargan, Managing Director UK & Northern Europe, Carrier Transicold. “The new Vector HE 17 will provide customers with unrivalled trailer performance in its class. Combined with the new low-GWP refrigerant for the Vector HE 19, these are landmark innovations for the sector. Both are testament to our commitment to delivering more efficient and sustainable technologies for our customers.”
